Zeytindostu Awards

The award ceremony of the Natural Extra Virgin Olive Oil Quality Competition, which has now become traditional and referred to as the Oscars of Olive Oil by the Olive Oil Friends Association, was held in Gaziantep. At the end of the six-month marathon where producers from various regions of Turkey competed to certify the quality of their brands, brands that underwent chemical and sensory analysis became the recipients of bronze, silver, gold, and for the first time this year, Premium gold awards.

The 11th award ceremony of the Olive Oil Friends Association's traditional National Natural Extra Virgin Olive Oil Quality Competition was held at the Gaziantep Tuğcan Hotel, in collaboration with the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the Gaziantep Commodity Exchange. Preceded and followed by events, the award night witnessed a finale of the organization that practically turned the city into olive oil days with intense participation.

The host of the evening, the Olive Oil Friends Association's Board of Directors, was joined by various dignitaries including Mehmet Akıncı, President of the Gaziantep Commodity Exchange; Mehmet Karayılan, Director of Agriculture and Livestock; İbrahim Yılmaz, Head of Agricultural Services Department of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality; Alper Alhat, President of the Akhisar Commodity Exchange; Abidin Tatlı, former president of the association and olive oil tasting expert; Gino Celletti, Leader of the International Olive Oil Council Tasting Panel, and members of the Olive Oil Friends Association, along with numerous olive producers from various provinces of Turkey.

Our olive oil, which we participate in under the Dizem Brand and which we have been traditionalizing every year, has proven since 2009 that it does not compromise on quality standards in various categories.

This year, our brand, which underwent chemical and sensory analysis, was honored with the Silver Medal.

In the 2010 National Olive Oil Quality Competition, it certified its quality by receiving the Gold Medal.

In the 2012 National Olive Oil Quality Competition, it certified its quality by receiving the Gold Medal.

In the 2014 National Olive Oil Quality Competition, it certified its quality by receiving the Gold Medal.

In the 2016 National Olive Oil Quality Competition, it certified its quality by receiving the Silver Medal.

In the 2018 National Olive Oil Quality Competition, it certified its quality by receiving the Silver Medal.
